Individual Practise
Training sessions always begin with static and dynamic stretching to loosen muscles and tendons. This is also complimented with Chi Gung practice, the art of using your breathe to promote your energy flow. Our classes always start in this manner to prepare the mind, spirit and body. In order to train effectively we always refer to the requirement of having intent and a relaxed body and mind leads towards this ideal.
Basic techniques and combinations of these to form sequences are practiced to provide students with understanding of basic movements involved. Our techniques includes various types of punches, knife hands, elbows, palm strikes and various types of kicks to incorporate the different parts of our hands and feet. With basic striking we also work on stance and footwork, emphasising their ultilisation towards more efficient execution of technique. Finally all these elements are combined together in our Forms sequences to allow us to practise all of these elements in one smooth cycle.
