Chapter 1 - History
The origin of our art extends back through the tradition of the Shaolin temple but we specifically acknowledge the Grandmaster, Chief Abbot Seh Koh San as being our primary forefather. Chief Abbot Seh Koh San was renowned in South East Asia for his advanced skills in martial arts and medicine. He is famous for bringing Buddhism and the Shaolin Art out from China and spreading it to countries including Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Even though Seh Koh San knew many styles of martial arts, his martial teachings were known as the Buddha Family Fist (Fatt Gar Kyun).
From there Master Quek became one of Seh Koh San's close disciples and together opened numerous Shaolin athletic associations in South East Asia. Seh Koh San died in 1960 but Master Quek and his disciple brothers continued to teach the tradition and art of Shaolin even to this day.

Master Lai became one of Master Quek's students and with the embrace of modern teaching methods worked to formalise the way the art was taught. Master Lai also incorporated elements from his Taekwondo training with Master Leow to create a teaching system applicable to the modern day society. With Master Quek's blessing, Master Lai came to England and brought this teaching system to our shores.
